Placing the required extractor on top will passively generate the resource over time. When you find a Vanadium deposit, you can pull out your Cutter and mine away. It will highlight all resources, making it easier to search for them from a distance. Upon landing at one of these locations, you’ll want to pull out your hand scanner to survey the surface. If they have the V with 2 stars next to it under the resource tab, then you’re good to go. You can scan these planets and moons to see what resources they have.

You’ll want to comb through the galaxy to find this resource, as it’s used for a variety of crafting recipes, including but not limited to weapon and spacesuit mods, habitat structures, and ship upgrades.įortunately, you don’t have to jump too far to find it, as Vanadium can be found on a variety of planets and moons close to where you start your playthrough of Starfield. Vanadium (or V) is a rare tier 2 resource that can be found across Starfield’s 1000 planets.
